6+1 Best Starbucks Low Acid Coffee Products: Pick the 1 You Like

Are you aware of the Starbucks low-acid coffee products?

Given that you can find almost any kind of coffee at Starbucks, it’s no surprise that there is a range of low-acid coffee products. I have compiled a guide with all you need to know about those packs to help you pick the right one for you.

Let’s kick off.

Why choose low-acidic coffee?

As you probably already know coffee contains acidity, much like other drinks including tea, Coke, lemon and orange juice. Consuming excessive amounts of these kinda drinks might cause you stomach issues like acid reflux (one of its symptoms is heartburn with stomach contents flowing back.

It’s wise to go for low-acid coffee to reduce the risk of acid reflux, especially if you drink many cups of coffee every single day.

Starbucks have their own low-acidity coffee packs & products which I’m going to talk about in the next section.

Low-acidity Starbucks coffee packs

Let’s chat about the low-acid coffee packs that are worth trying out.

1. Starbucks Dark Roast Coffee

The Starbucks Dark Roast coffee packs are filled with Arabica ground coffee; the coffee you’re going to brew with this pack is simply fantastic. It has an intense flavour with hints of chocolate and a smokey aroma that really evokes your senses. If you already know dark roast coffee in general has lower acidity than medium and light (Blonde) roast because the longer coffee beans are roasted the less acidity they contain.

A 16oz serving contains roughly 250-260 mg of caffeine.

2. Starbucks HOUSE BLEND, Medium Roast

Starbucks HOUSE BLEND, Medium Roast is probably one of the best Starbucks ground coffees.

It also comes from Arabica coffee beans and it’s a rich coffee with toffee notes with tastes of nuts and cocoa making every sip a real joy. It’s worth mentioning that it’s committed to Ethical Coffee Sourcing as Starbucks are partners with Conservation International.

It comes in 1200-gram bags.

Is this coffee acidic?

It’s slightly more acidic than the Starbucks Dark Roast; if you’re suffering from acid reflux I suggest you go for the Starbucks Dark Roast Coffee.

3. Starbucks French Roast

This is another great low-acidity Starbucks coffee option.

Starbucks French Roast is dark roast coffee that is loved for its bold smokiness and its pure and mindblowing flavour.

The good news is that it comes in 4 different forms:

4. Starbucks Espresso, Dark Roast

If you’re an espresso addict (like me), the Starbucks Espresso Dark Roast is a must.

It’s ideal for pulling an espresso with an intense aroma and dark colour; you can always make a great cappuccino, latte or macchiato.

It has over 4,600 reviews on Amazon with a 4.7/5 rating.

It comes as whole beans in packs of 566g, meaning that you can ground the coffee beans whenever you like and drink fresher coffee every single time.

5. Starbucks Premium Instant Dark Coffee

Starbucks Premium instant Dark Coffee has a distinct subtly sweet and toasted flavour with dark chocolate hints made from 100% Arabica coffee beans grown in Latin America.

FAQ

Let’s go over a bunch of FAQs to help you get a better understanding of the topic.

Does Starbucks have a low acidic coffee?

Yes, it has different options of ground coffee and whole coffee beans. The ones worth trying out are: Starbucks Dark Roast Coffee, Starbucks HOUSE BLEND (medium roast), French Roast, Starbucks Espresso (dark roast), and Starbucks flavoured coffee.

What is the least acidic drink at Starbucks?

Cold Brew is one of the least acidic drinks at Starbucks. Because it’s brewed differently than dripping coffee, less acidity is extracted from the coffee beans during the brewing process, making it a safe option for anyone having stomach issues. Other good alternatives to Cold Brew are Starbucks Iced Latte or Cappuccino. They both contain milk which is less acidic than coffee and when it’s mixed with coffee it makes your brew less acidic too. Plus, ice makes your brew less acidic for the same reason milk reduces the acidity level in your brew.

Is there a coffee that is not acidic?

There’s no coffee that it’s not acidic at all. Coffee is one of those plants that contains a number of different acids including chlorogenic, quinic and citric which give coffee its special aroma and flavour. But there are coffees that are less acidic than others. For example, dark roast coffees are less acidic than medium and light since roasting makes coffee beans lose some of their acidity, and the longer they are roasted, the more acidity they lose.

Which coffee causes the least acid reflux?

The type of coffee that causes the least acid reflux is iced coffee and especially Cold Brew which is simple to make. All you need is a container, cold water and coffee beans/grounds. Pop the coffee beans/grounds in the container, add the water, leave it for about 12 hours and you’re good to go. Another option for coffee that causes the least acid reflux is to give up on coffee for a couple of weeks or months until your stomach is properly healed and gradually go back to drinking coffee. If you see that acid reflux is back though, it’s wise to give up on coffee for longer than a couple of months.
