The answer to this is: it depends on the type of water you use

If you use filtered or bottled water you won’t need to descale it too often as these water types don’t contain too many water minerals. But if you use tap water for brewing then you’ll need to descale it more often. A great rule of thumb is to descale it every 2 months.
